Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi – IIIT-Delhi
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi also known as IIIT-Delhi or IIIT-D) was officially established on 10th June, 2008 as per this notification in the Delhi Gazette. The First class (for BTech (CSE) students) which comprised of 60 BTech students was held on 8th September, 2008. By the time the first batch graduated in the year 2012 and the first Convocation took place in November, 2012, the institute has attracted nearly 30 faculty members, and its academic program consisted of B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs in CSE and ECE. The permanent campus of the institute in Okhla was inaugurated by Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi in October, 2012.
The institute has earned a good reputation in India as well as abroad in a relatively short time, for being a center of quality education and research in IT.

Online Courses
IIIT-Delhi has evolved a system for allowing students to take online courses. Students can take advantage of the increasing amount of such courses made available by reputed universities across the world to complement the courses offered in the institute. As of now, B.Tech. students are allowed to register for online courses.
