IPU CET BHMCT Entrance Examination

A Common Entrance Test (CET) is administered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIPU) for admission into Bachelor Degree Hotel Management program of the university. The candidates willing to pursue this program from IP University shall require to appear for IPU CET BHMCT. The term "BHMCT" means Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology. No. of seats available under this program in the IP University Campus are 120 along with more seats in other colleges of Hotel Management in Delhi & NCR Regions.

Eligibility Criteria for IPU CET BHMCT


All candidates planning to appear for this exam must have passed Class 12th of CBSE or any other equivalent board. It is mandatory for them to secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% for the SC/ ST candidates. Calculation is done on the best of 4 from their total with English/ Hindi as a compulsory subject. Candidate’s age should be more than 17 years can apply for the entrance examination.

IPUCET BHMCT Application Process

For IPUCET BHMCT, all candidates can apply in an online mode. The entire process from registration to filling up the form is done online and forms are usually available in February 2018. Candidates have to provide their personal data along with filling a fee of Rs. 750 via net banking, debit cards or credit cards.

If a candidate wishes to apply via offline mode, they can get the forms from the office and fill it up along with preparing the DD or required process of fee payment.

Exam Pattern for IPUCET BHMCT

The exam has a set of multiple choice questions related to English Language and Comprehension, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning. The paper will comprise of 150 objective-type questions (MCQs) from various sections like English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Logical and Analytical Ability including Computer awareness, accounts/commerce and science. For all the right answers, candidates shall be awarded with four marks. And for the wrong answers, one mark will be duly deducted. The offline exam shall be conducted in Delhi only.

Section 1: English Language & Comprehension (45 Questions) (180 Marks)
Section 2: General Awareness (30 Questions) (120 Marks)
Section 3: Logical and analytical ability including Computer awareness (45 Questions) (180 Marks)
Section 4: Knowledge of accounts/commerce & Science (30 Questions) (120 Marks)

Admit Card for IPU CET BHMCT

Once the entire process of registration is done, the candidates can download and take the printout of their admit card that is expected to be available in May. No offline admit cards will be sent. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination hall.
