Admission to the intensive two-years/four-semester course for for MA in Mass Communication at the Jamia Milia Islamia is done through entrance examination. The programme offers a systematic progression of hands-on production and theoretical papers where they get technical expertise, conceptual skills and artistic expression required to become accomplished practitioners of the electronic media and 16mm Film production.

Eligibility for JMI Mass Communication Entrance Exam

Those who are appearing or planning to appear for the JMI Entrance Exam exam should read the eligibility criteria before filling in the Online Application Form. Candidates who apply for this must qualify for the same with 50% parks in graduation in any discipline with English. Those who are appearing for this exam can also appear for the same but they should have the minimum qualifying marks for the same when the results come out.

Candidates seeking admission to any programme can obtain the prescribed Application Form along with the Prospectus from the University Counter at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) on cash payment of Application Fee of Rs. 600/- (this includes the cost of Prospectus, Application Form and Entrance Test Fees. Written Exam: Paper I: Multiple Choice Questions: 100 marks 
Paper II: Descriptive: 100 marks
Interview: 45 marks 

Portfolio: 55 marks
