DUET: Delhi University Entrance Test

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) is an online entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D. courses offered by Delhi University.

DUET Exam Pattern

Candidates are required to appear for a written entrance test, of two hours duration. It will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) (four choices each) designed to evaluate the aptitude of the applicants through areas as relevant to each subject.

The question paper would comprise of 100 questions. Each correct answer will get a score of plus 4 marks, each wrong answer will get a score of minus 1 mark and a question not answered will get a score of zero marks.

P.S. For admission to Music courses, the entrance test will be of a practical nature.

The applicant shall carry also an identity card bearing the applicant’s photograph for verification (Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter Identity Card, Passport or College Identity Card, a copy of which has been uploaded with the application form).

 The University is not responsible in case an applicant has opted for more than one course for which admission is based on entrance tests and there is a clash of date/time in the entrance test schedule.

DUET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for DUET

Eligibility for UG Courses

B.Tech: Candidates should have successfully completed their 10+2 with an aggregate of 60% marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject

BA Hons Humanities and Social Sciences: Candidates should have successfully completed their 10 2 with an aggregate of 60% marks

BA Hons Multimedia and Mass Communication: Candidates should have successfully completed their 10 2 with an aggregate of 75% aggregate and secured 85% marks in English

Eligibility for PG Courses

Masters of Law 3/5-year: LLB with 50% for general, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST

Masters in Computer Application: Bachelor's Degree with 60% Aggregate

Masters in Commerce: Bachelors in Commerce with 50% (general)/ 45% (OBC)/ 40% (SC/ST) aggregate

Master of Education: B.Ed, BA.B.Ed, BEl.Ed or DEl.Ed with minimum 50% marks

DUET Mock Test

Mock Tests are the best source to prepare for Delhi University Entrance Test. Considering this fact, NTA will release an activated link of mock tests for the candidates who will be appearing in DUET. The mock tests will be available on the official website of NTA. DUET aspirants can access the link by entering their roll number, password, and pin.

DUET Application Process

DUET Application process for both UG and PG courses will conclude in March. DUET application process will be completely online. The application forms will be available on the official website. The steps to fill the application form are as follows:

Step 1 – Registration
Register by entering their email id, mobile number, and password after which a login id will be generated.

Step 2 – Application Form Filling
Candidates are required to have fill up the online application form by providing personal and academic details. Candidates have to select the course for which they want to take the test while filling the application form.

Step 3 – Document Upload

The following scanned copies of the documents have to be uploaded by the candidate.

  3. Photo ID Proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License/ PAN Card/Voter's Identity Card/Passport/College Identity Card)
  4. Class X Certificate
  5. Class XII Certificate
  6. Caste Certificate
  7. Minority Certificate

  9. CW Certificate
Step 4 –Payment of Application Fees

Candidates are required to make the payment of application fee by using a Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.
  • Registration fee for Merit-based courses for UR/OBC Rs. 250
  • Registration fee for SC/ST/PwD/EWS Rs. 100
  • Additional Registration fee for ECA/Sports Rs. 100
  • Additional Registration fee for each Entrance-based course for UR/OBC Rs. 750
  • Additional Registration fee for each Entrance-based course for SC/ST/PwD/EWS Rs.300
P.S. Registration fee will not be refunded in any circumstances, including if the applicant is found ineligible for the course or respective category at a later stage. The applicant is advised to check that they satisfy all eligibility criteria for the course(s) for which they are applying.

Step 5 – Download Application Form

Once all the steps mentioned above are completed, save and submit the application form and download the same for future correspondence.
