Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Law (IPUCET Law)

IPUCET Law or the Guru Gobind Singh University (GGSIPU) conducts IPUCET Law for admission to different UG law courses in its affiliated colleges. Applicants, who want to appear in IPUCET Law should be qualified as per the 10+2 or 12th examination from any of the recognized board/university in India or  abroad. The candidates should have at least 50% marks in their aggregate on their mark sheet. It is mandatory for the applicants to have qualified in English (Core or elective or functional) subject. It is vital for the candidates to keep these documents and other examination scores ready during the counselling process.

IPUCET Law Application Form

The IPUCET Law Application Form is a very hassle free process and one can apply for IPUCET Law  exam online. There are 2 kinds of IPUCET Law online application forms. One is for filling the personal or general details about the applicant. These include name of father, education, etc. The other one takes care of the programme details and fees payment. Remember to fill them correctly because you will guided to the next step post the same.

There are some mandatory fields that should be filled with genuine and accurate details. If you are applying for more than 2 programmes here, then it makes sense to fill in different application forms or your application will get cancelled. Once submitted, you cannot make changes. But for the personal forms, one can re-register in case of any alterations in personal details.

IPUCET Law Examination Admit Card

Candidates have the option to download their IPUCET Law Admit Card through the official website. These are available one week prior to the scheduled examination date. No applicants are allowed to sit for the IPUCET Law without a genuine IPUCET Law Admit Card.

IPUCET Law Examination Pattern

IPUCET Law might be held on May in offline mode. One has 150 minutes to finish the exam or about 2 and a half hours. There are 150 objective-type questions (MCQs) available here that cover the different aspects of English Language and Comprehension, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning, General Knowledge. For all the right answers, the candidates are rewarded with four marks. However, negative marking or losing 1 mark for every wrong response is also there. So if possible, you can avoid negative answers. Here is the breakup-

(i)   General Knowledge (including English Language) - (20%)
(ii)  Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Commercial Law & Family Law - (30%)
(iii) Public International Law, Human Rights Law and Environment Law - (30%)
(iv)  Current Trends in Law - (20%)

Exam Centre IPUCET Law

The IPUCET Law offline exam shall be conducted in Delhi only. There is no online mode option available for the same and candidates should visit Delhi on the day of the exam for taking part in the same.
IPUCET Law selection

Candidates are selected for the desired UG law courses on the basis of their performance. Depending on the scores you get for the IPUCET Law exam, the selection is determined.
